DLS Downloader 2002
This UDL uses virtual serial ports as the communication interface to the Remote Manager which acts as a modem.
Once you have created two serial ports virtually linked, the UDL must be configured to open one port and an RM session configured to open the other port for communications to be successful.
This UDL can also use an IP interface to communicate with the Remote Manager and requires that the UDL uses the same IP port that the Remote Manager listens on.
Description of sessions

DLS Modem-DCM: This if for the UDL to communicate with the Remote Manager via a modem interface and for the WebWayOne SPT to communicate with the panel via a Digi interface.

DLS Modem-RS232: This if for the UDL to communicate with the Remote Manager via a modem interface and for the WebWayOne SPT to communicate with the panel via an RS232 serial (TLink) interface.

DLS IP-RS232: This if for the UDL to communicate with the Remote Manager via a IP (127.x.x.x) interface and for the WebWayOne SPT to communicate with the panel via an RS232 serial (TLink) interface.
Create an Remote Manager DLS Modem-RS232, Modem-DCM and IP-RS232 sessions
1) Click on the [Sessions] menu item and select the [New] menu item. Remote manager will display a new [Session Configuration] page.
2) Give the new session a name by entering a name in the [Session Name] edit box.
3) Then click on the [Session Type] drop down list box and select a DLS session type from the list.
4) Click on the [SSH Server IP] edit box and enter the IP address of PC that is running the SSH Server and WebWayOne’s MCT application.
5) Click on the [Save] button. Click on the [Modify] button and the [Edit properties] button. The following forms will be displayed depending on
the DLS session type you selected.
6) Interface configuration for DLS Modem-RS232 and Modem-DCM
You may need to change the COM port to one of the virtual serial ports you created and selected for the RM to listen on. COM10 is the default
port for all session using serial interfaces.
Note: You can use the same virtual serial ports for all your different UDL connections, but if you wish to use more than one UDL at the same
time, you must set the COM ports for each session to be different.
7) Interface configuration for DLS IP-RS232
Note: You can use the same IP ports for all your different UDL connections, but if you wish to use more than one UDL at the same time, you
must set choose a different IP port for each session.
8) Click on the [Accept] button.
9) On the main display, click on the [Save] button. This session is now ready to run.
Create an account in the DLS Downloader 2002 UDL
1) Open up the UDL application and enter your password. Click on [Tools] and then
on [Modem Configuration]. The following form will be displayed:
2) Click on the [Add] button and the following form will be displayed.
3) Select [US Robotics 56K] and click on the [OK] button.
4) Select [TCP IP Connection] and click on the [OK] button.
5) Click on the [Outgoing] tab and select [US Robotics 56K] if your Remote Manager session type is DLS Modem-DCM or Modem-RS232. Select [TCP IP
Connection] if your Remote Manager session type is DLS IP-RS232.
6) Click on the [OK] button.
7) Click on the [Create New Account] button and follow the Database Wizard.
8) Once you have created your account, right click on it and select [Properties] from the presented menu.
9) If you are using the Remote Manager sessions DLS Modem-DCM or Modem-RS232, enter the account\site ID for the WebWayOne unit into the [Panel
Telephone Number] field as shown above (example 1818).
10) If you are using the Remote Manager sessions DLS IP-RS232, click on the [TCP/IP Settings] tab.
11) As mentioned in “Why does the RM need to listen on the localhost range?“ and “How do the rules for the conversion of an IP address to an Account/Site
ID work?” the correct account\site ID IP address must be entered in [IP Address].
12) Also an IP port number must be entered in [TCP/IP Port]. This port number must match the port number configured in the Remote Manager
DLS IP-RS232 session (default is 1600).
13) When you open your new account and before you try to connect to the panel, you must choose the correct communication interface
